Build
Custom software development
The application your business runs on, when nothing off the shelf fits.
Custom software is justified when your business has a rule the market's tools ignore — and working around it costs you every day. We have been building this kind of application for sixteen years: healthcare facility management, a multi-agency property platform, e-commerce back offices. What they have in common is not the technology; it is that people use them daily as their actual job, and that they cannot go down.
The method
How we work
- 01
We start from what costs you time
Not from a fifty-page specification. We look at the real work, the spreadsheets going round by email, the manual re-keying — that is where the return is.
- 02
We ship a useful first scope, fast
A version your teams actually use, rather than a mockup they comment on. What you learn from real use cannot be obtained any other way.
- 03
We iterate with the people using it
Short cycles, frequent releases, feedback acted on within the week. A project that disappears for six months always comes back beside the need.
- 04
We test what breaks silently
Calculations, business rules, data formats. A display bug is visible; a wrong amount or a date shifted by two hours is not, and costs far more.
- 05
We stay after delivery
Hosting, monitoring, fixes, new features. A supplier who disappears at handover leaves you with an asset nobody knows how to evolve.
What you get
Deliverables
- check_circleThe application in production, on your domain, with its backups
- check_circleThe source code, in a repository that belongs to you
- check_circleAutomated tests on the business rules, run on every change
- check_circleOperational documentation: how it deploys, where the data lives, who to call

Gextra AI

- Custom or off the shelf?
- Off the shelf first, genuinely. If an existing tool covers 90% of your need, buying and adapting it is cheaper. Custom is justified when the core of your business is precisely what those tools do not do — or when per-user subscriptions end up costing more than the development.
- Who owns the code?
- You do. The repository is handed over, and you can give the work to someone else. That is also in our interest: a client held in place by technical lock-in is not a satisfied client.
- How long for a first version?
- A few weeks for a useful scope, a few months for a tool that genuinely replaces what exists. We would rather announce a short first milestone and hit it than a distant date nobody ever hits.
